Built for the 2022 Bristol Bay gillnetting season, the F/V Montlake is Full-Time Fabrication’s first official turn-key boat built completely in-house. The Montlake is an original Dick Smitha design that he allowed us to repurpose and continue to build as he retired. Mike (the owner) lived at the shop during construction and was able to be heavily involved throughout the process and give us valuable input wherever possible on what makes a truly functional boat from a captains perspective. She is a modified pilothouse/flybridge design with a full head and galley, and comfortably accommodates 4 crew members and the captain. Being a tried and true Dick Smitha hull, she’s a boat that can fish all conditions and get where the prop boats can’t.
